When I first found out about the tapes, I was shocked. Shocked because Hannah was gone, and I didn't even know she was hurting. Shocked because she had left me a map to the pain she had experienced. As I listened to each tape, I could feel her sadness, her loneliness, her desperation. I could hear the voices of those who had played a part in her suffering. As I made my way through the tapes, I couldn't help but feel a growing sense of anger. Anger at those who had hurt Hannah, who had caused her so much pain.
