Clay confronts those responsible for Hannah's pain from "summary" of 13 Reasons Why by Jay Asher
When I first found out about the tapes, I was shocked. Shocked because Hannah was gone, and I didn't even know she was hurting. Shocked because she had left me a map to the pain she had experienced. As I listened to each tape, I could feel her sadness, her loneliness, her desperation. I could hear the voices of those who had played a part in her suffering. As I made my way through the tapes, I couldn't help but feel a growing sense of anger. Anger at those who had hurt Hannah, who had caused her so much pain. Anger at myself for not being there for her when she needed me the most. But most of all, anger at the injustice of it all. When I finally reached the end of the tapes, I knew what I had to do. I had to confront those who had hurt Hannah, those who had driven her to such a desperate act. I had to make them see the impact of their actions, to make them understand the pain they had caused. And so, one by one, I sought out those whose names were on the tapes. I looked them in the eye and told them the truth. I told them about Hannah, about the girl they had pushed to the edge. I made them listen, made them confront the reality of what they had done. It wasn't easy, facing those responsible for Hannah's pain. But it was necessary. Necessary to bring closure, to make sure that her story was heard. And as I stood before each of them, I could see the guilt in their eyes, the regret for what they had done. Confronting those responsible for Hannah's pain was a difficult and emotional journey. But it was a journey that needed to be taken. A journey that would hopefully bring some peace to a girl who had suffered so much. And as I finally completed my task, I knew that I had done the right thing. For Hannah.Similar Posts
