What to Expect When You’re Expecting is a comprehensive pregnancy guide, written by Heidi Murkoff and Sharon Mazel and first published in 1984. It covers the physical and emotional changes that women experience during pregnancy, as well as the medical tests and procedures they may encounter. It also provides advice on diet, exercise, labor and delivery, and postpartum care. The book also addresses the concerns of fathers-to-be, discussing the ways in which their lives will change and the things they can do to support the mother-to-be. The book is now in its fifth edition, which was released in 2017.
