The Ramayana: Kishkindhā kāndam, an 1891 version of the Hindu epic poem, is the fifth book in the Ramayana series. The epic follows Rama, an avatar of the god Vishnu, on his quest to save his beloved wife Sita from the demon-king Ravana. In this book, Rama and his loyal brother Lakshmana enter the Kingdom of Kishkinda, where they meet the monkey-king Sugriva and his loyal army. Together, they plan a strategy to defeat Ravana and rescue Sita. Hanuman, the faithful monkey general, helps them in their mission. The epic explores themes of loyalty and faithfulness as Rama and his group fight against endless obstacles to rescue Sita.
