The Psychopath Test is a book by British journalist and author Jon Ronson, which details his exploration of the concept of psychopathy and its application in various contexts. In the book, Ronson visits prisons, mental hospitals, and corporate boardrooms in an effort to understand how the psychopath test is used, and what being labeled psychopath means. Through interviews with experts and people labeled as psychopaths, he deconstructs the public perceptions of psychopathy and challenges the current understanding of the disorder. In doing so, he reveals that there exists an unrecognized pool of "everyday psychopaths" who are sometimes more dangerous than their incarcerated counterparts.
