Summary of The Martian

The Martian by Andy Weir is a science fiction novel about an astronaut named Mark Watney who is stranded alone on Mars. After a fierce storm, Watney is presumed dead by his crew and left behind on the planet. Watney must rely on his ingenuity and resourcefulness to survive the harsh conditions of Mars and find a way to contact NASA so he can be rescued. With limited supplies and a lot of determination, Watney is able to make a home for himself on the red planet and find a way to contact Earth. In the end, he is able to be rescued and brought home.
