Summary of The absolutely true diary of a part-time Indian

The Absolutely True Diary of a Part-Time Indian, by Sherman Alexie, is a coming-of-age story about fourteen-year-old Arnold Spirit Jr., a Native American living on the Spokane Indian Reservation. Arnold decides that in order to better his life, he must leave the troubled reservation in order to attend an all-white public high school. Arnold must battle through the challenges of making new friends, dealing with bullies, and managing the social divisions between different groups of people. Along the way, Arnold discovers his own identity and talents, and the path to understanding who he is and where he comes from.
