Summary of Sweet Temptation

Sweet Temptation is a young adult novel by Wendy Higgins. Set in an Appalachian town, sixteen-year-old Mia has just moved in with her grandmother while her mother attempts to start fresh from her own broken and painful past. Unbeknownst to Mia, her grandmother is a harbinger, someone who can see past lives and her own powers are beginning to awaken. As she gets to know her new home, surrounded by the Blue Ridge Mountains, Mia meets monumental Seth, music composer and wrestling champion. Despite her ancestor's warning about the dangers of love, Mia can’t resist the temptation and must make the hard choice between the two paths before her - one of temptation dark and light and one of virtue. Torn between the two, Mia is met with obstacles in both. With the help of her family, Mia learns to embrace her destiny, allowing her to prevail on her own terms.
