Romeo and Juliet, by William Shakespeare, is a tragic love story between two star-crossed lovers whose feuding families prevent them from being together in life. Set in the bustling streets of Verona, Romeo Montague and Juliet Capulet meet and fall in love. Despite their family's intense generational hatred for one another, their passion for each other is unyielding. After various interruptions, Romeo is forced into exile, and Juliet fakes her own death to be with him. Romeo and Juliet commit suicide when the Friar's letter to Romeo is denied delivery. With their deaths, the Montagues and Capulets put their differences to rest. In the end, their love prevails and the families can send a message of harmony.
