Summary of Jurassic Park

Jurassic Park is a science fiction novel by Michael Crichton, published in 1990. It is a cautionary tale about genetic engineering and the emergence of species long extinct. The novel centers around a theme park featuring cloned dinosaurs, created through the extraction of DNA from ancient fossils. The park is narcotized at the start of the novel and filled with activities, attractions and security personnel. When a tropical storm strikes the island, many of the power systems are damaged, and the dinosaurs are unleashed. A group of survivors attempt to escape the island and confront the dangers within the park.
