Summary of I Am

I Am is a story about a young boy named Zafar, who is a refugee from Afghanistan trying to make a new life for himself and his family in America. Zafar must learn to navigate the complexities of his new home, while also dealing with the prejudice and racism he encounters. He finds strength in his faith, family, and community, and eventually discovers the power of his own voice. Through his struggles and triumphs, Zafar discovers that he is a part of something much bigger than himself.
