The Bhagavad Gita is one of the most important religious texts of Hinduism, and is revered by millions of Indians. It is an ancient scripture that is part of the Mahabharata, a major epic of Hinduism. The Gita is a dialogue between the Pandava prince Arjuna and his divine adviser, Krishna. In the dialogue, Krishna counsels Arjuna to accept his responsibilities as a warrior and to do his duty. The Gita presents a synthesis of the Hindu philosophies of Samkhya and Yoga, and discusses aspects of Dharma (duty), Jnana (knowledge) and Bhakti (devotion).
