Summary of Alchemist

The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho is a modern classic about following one’s dreams. It tells the story of Santiago, an Andalusian shepherd boy who yearns to travel in search of a worldly treasure. After a visit from a mysterious old man, he embarks on a journey across the Spanish countryside in pursuit of his destiny.
