Crito is a dialogue written by Plato that takes place in prison. The dialogue is between Socrates and his friend Crito. In the dialogue, Crito encourages Socrates to escape from prison, an act which Socrates refuses on moral grounds. The dialogue is one of many that Plato wrote in order to explore the nature of justice and morality.
