This set of two Orwell classics contains two of the most iconic books of the twentieth century. 1984 is an dystopian novel set in Airstrip One, formerly known as Great Britain. The novel follows protagonist Winston Smith as he navigates the oppressive government of Big Brother. Animal Farm is Orwell's famous satirical fable which uses a group of barnyard animals to embody the betrayal of the Russian Revolution. Set on the Manor Farm, the animals become progressively more like their oppressors, and all of their aspirations for equality and freedom are destroyed. Both novels are timeless examinations of the dangers of totalitarian society and abuse of power.
