Force fosters division and discord from "summary" of Power vs. Force by David R. Hawkins, M.D., Ph.D.
The fundamental nature of force is to divide and separate. When force is used to achieve an end, it inevitably creates resistance, opposition, and conflict. This is because force operates on the level of duality, where there is always an "us vs. them" mentality. It sets up a dynamic of winners and losers, with each side vying for dominance. Force breeds discord because it relies on coercion and manipulation to achieve its goals. When one party tries to impose its will on another through force, it engenders resentment, anger, and animosity. This leads to a breakdown in communication and understanding, as each side becomes entrenched in its own position. The use of force also creates a sense of powerlessness in those who are subjected to it. When people feel that they are being controlled or oppressed, they are more likely to rebel and push back against the force being exerted upon them. This can lead to further escalation of conflict and violence. In contrast, power operates on a higher level of consciousness. Power is based on cooperation, understanding, and respect. It seeks to unite rather than divide, to find common ground rather than highlight differences. Power fosters harmony and peace, as it recognizes the interconnectedness of all beings. By choosing power over force, we can transcend the limitations of duality and move towards a more inclusive and compassionate way of being. Power allows us to rise above the conflicts and divisions that plague our world, and to embrace a higher truth that unites us all.Similar Posts
