Pursuing passions despite obstacles from "summary" of Half Girl Friend by Chetan Bhagat
Madhav had always been passionate about basketball since his childhood days in Dumraon. Despite facing numerous obstacles and challenges, he never gave up on his dream to excel in the sport. Even though his school lacked proper facilities and coaching, Madhav continued to practice tirelessly, honing his skills on the makeshift court with his friends. When he moved to Delhi for college, Madhav was determined to join the basketball team and make a name for himself. However, he soon realized that the competition was fierce, and he was not as skilled as some of the other players. Despite feeling discouraged, Madhav did not let this setback deter him from pursuing his passion for basketball. With the help of his roommate and friend, Shailesh, Madhav started to improve his game by seeking guidance from experienced players and practicing diligently. He faced criticism and ridicule from his peers, but he remained focused on his goal and worked hard to prove his doubters wrong. Madhav's perseverance and determination eventually paid off when he earned a spot on the college basketball team. He continued to face challenges and obstacles along the way, but he never lost sight of his passion for the sport.
